Mr. Jackson – Take a Bow!

As you may have heard elsewhere in the Blogosphere, Samuel L. Jackson has now joined the growing throng of celebrities lending their name and caché to the battle against Prop. 8.

This splendid Actor joins an impressive list of Hollywood’s elite who are determined to defeat this inexcusable attack on personal choice and freedom. The roll-call includes Brad Pitt, Steven Spielberg, Barbra Streisand, Molly Ringwald, and a belated entry from Ellen DeGeneres.

If any of us lives long enough to see the end of this interminable election circus it would almost be sufficient reward for the pain we have suffered at the hands of the media to see this reprehensible attempt at intellectual censorship defeated, and the vociferous bigots who are its supporters vanquished and silenced forever. Eighteen months of coverage that resembled saturation bombing…and it all comes down to a lever.

On Tuesday you will all be entrusted with a task whose importance and consequence is almost immeasurable. Please don’t waste your vote.
