It’s being reported that Captain Chesley B. Sullenberger, the Pilot who so skillfully glided the geese-stricken Flight 1549 to a life-saving landing on the Hudson River last Thursday has chosen not to give his first interview since the incident, which was scheduled with Matt Lauer on this morning’s ‘Today’ show.
This, boys and girls, is a sad sign of our times.
Here is a man who has a remarkable talent, and does not want a great deal of publicity in regard to what he was therefore able to do.
If you turn that scenario 180″, it’s a telling indictment of what’s so painfully wrong with this great and once glorious business.
