I Could Do It For Less!

In news that may seriously depress most of you [And if it doesn't, it should,] NBC has announced they’ve ordered twelve more televisual insults from Howie Mandel.

The show, ‘Howie Do It,’ is a US/Canadian co-production, organized between HDI Productions, Hallock Healey Entertainment, Suddenly See-More Productions, 3-Arts Entertainment, Canwest Broadcasting and Alevy Productions. And Howie and five people you’ve never even heard of are listed as Executive Producers.

…So if I’m reading this right, it takes half-a-dozen Producers, from six separate companies in two distinct countries to make a 42-minute show starring one odd-ball guy with an anemic goatee, doing Candid Camera-style stunts in public locations, with no big-budget actors, locations or sets.

And NBC buys it.

…And they wonder why they never make money??
