Ms. Simpson, Your Time Is Up!

Not content with lying to half the nation on ABC recently, Jessica Simpson upset a whole new group of her fans at a concert in Michigan last night, with a show that was an endless litany of sham and inadequacy.

In a performance of less than 40-minutes as the opening act for Rascal Flatts, she constantly fiddled with her earpieces, lost her place in several songs and made the band start again, and even forgot the lyrics to ‘Come on Over’ – which she recently released as a single!

She finally apologized to the audience and reportedly left the stage in tears.

And this was not the first time her deficiency has ruined a show and left an audience un-served. At the Kennedy Center Honors in 2006, she was supposed to perform “9 to 5″, in tribute to Dolly Parton. But she forgot the words half-way through and walked off the stage. Again, in ‘tears.’

Later, she blamed ‘nerves’, and said she almost gave up her career as a result of the incident.

By ‘career,’ I think she means the greed-fueled, narcissistic delusion where she takes large amounts of money off people who actually work for a living by miming to a tape and claiming it’s her.

As for the repeated occurrence of tears, this is predictable: When you can’t even fake singing, fake emotions create acres of press. You turn shame and responsibility into huge free PR and public attention with nothing more taxing than two boxes of Kleenex. And you still don’t have to prove you can’t sing.

This atonal mannequin has been famous too long. She’s a fraud and a fake and should be ashamed and ignored.
