Although rightly known for their rather ‘inconoclastic’ approach to factual reporting, Fox News have just launched an entirely online news show. Entitled, “Special Report, with Bret Baier” the 15-minute newscast will ‘air’ every Wednesday and even include a segment in which the host can chat with his viewers and ask guests their questions. You can watch the live feed on their site.
Trust me, folks – this is just the beginning. The convergence of TV and computers is as inevitable as it is desirable, and programs like this are the first distant echoes of that oncoming union. Comparing traditional TV to its virtual sibling is like judging CD’s against an Edison phonograph, but the huge growth of broadband plus all the major networks’ desperate need for new revenue streams in a tanking economy will force rapid improvements in the relevant tech.
And once the nets realize they can broadcast entirely online and keep all the income, the cable and dish firms will be deader than vinyl.

When I clicked the replay on the login site, I only saw the webchat transcripts. Is there any way to see a replay of the audio & video of the webcast shows?
